12 Jun

In honor of Father’s Day… I’m throwing back to a picture of my Pops and I. Not sure how old I am here, maybe 2?

Chris’s 1st Father’s Day and my dad’s 1st Father’s Day as a Poppa!

Kyler & Hudson’s Baptism

10 Jun

This past week, Kyler and Hudson were baptized at home. We don’t belong to a church right now, however, we still wanted the kids to be baptized. About a year ago I contacted the gentleman that married Chris and I and asked if they did baptisms and I was thrilled to find out they did. We were going to set it up but then I became pregnant with Hudson so we decided to wait until he was born. The perfect time to do it was when Chris’s family was in town visiting. We kept it small and simple and it was great!

After the baptism, Chris and I made a nice dinner for everyone and enjoyed the evening. We are so blessed to have two beautiful and happy children and we thank God each and every day that He brought them into our lives.

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

8 Jun

We have had quite the busy week here. Chris’s family came into town on Sunday night and left this morning.

As you recall, we hit up Magic Kingdom last Sunday. After we left the park, we headed to the airport and picked up Nana and Peepaw (Chris’s parents). The view from their hotel room. Disney Fireworks!

The next day we hit up Downtown Disney. Chris’s sister and our nephew (Matt, he is 4.5 years old) are visiting from Singapore and just got in from there at 11pm the night before so it was a nice easy day.

As you will see below, they were best buds for the week.

Kyler got a lot of swimming in this week

The next day, we hit up Animal Kingdom.

The safari. It may not be the real deal but it was still fun!

We then hopped over to Epcot in the late afternoon to stroll around. Found these little cuties walking through America.

We got dinner in Germany at the Oktoberfest restaurant. The kids loved dancing to the band.

We stayed for the fireworks and were out of the park  just before 10pm. 12 hour day at Disney and 13+ miles later made for 2 VERY tired little kiddos.

Running errands before the kids bapstim, ALONE.  All of the parents out there know how amazing it truly is. Pure bliss.

Kyler and Hudson were baptized this week. More on this later.

Baller status

We made it to Dunkin Donuts for National Donut Day.

Hudson got to hang with his buddy Crosby this week.

Everybody swarm Hudson!

Enjoying in the Orlando Science Center

Just jammin’ out on the way home from dinner….. She’s so fancy

Hudson looks terrified

Goofballs

Today was a lazy day full of errands and play time. Ammo and Kyler snuggling ❤

He is sure big enough for it but I don’t think he is strong enough yet. Will visit this in a few weeks 🙂

Sums up our day ❤

Welp, today was my last day of maternity leave 😦 I am so so so sad that I have to leave my sweet boy tomorrow and head back to the real world. At least I am going back to a place full of great people and good times. He will be with my mom this week so that makes it a lot easier as well. Off to get my bags ready for… WORK! Haven’t said that in a while! Catch ya on the flip side!

Hudson: 10 Weeks

7 Jun

The Hulkster is 10 weeks old already. Can’t believe how fast it is going by 😦 It doesn’t help that he looks like a 5 month old either. This week, he is weighing in at 15.9 pounds.

He is much more smiley this week so that has been fun.

We have had family in town so it’s been a hectic week but he has been doing well and just going with the flow.

I leave him on Monday to go back to work 😦 How am I supposed to leave that face?!?!? AHHHHH. Buddy boy, it’s been so much fun being at home with you and I will miss it tremendously. At least you will be in good hands ❤

Birthday Pranks: Tween’s Bedroom

6 Jun

What is a Tween’s Bedroom you may ask? You know, tons of Bop and Tiger Beat posters on the walls, hot pink everything, zebra print, and OMG totally BFF type stuff.

This is a Tween’s Dream (and our bosses office for the day)!

Our boss is a pretty big Justin Timberlake fan (I mean who isn’t?). He also is a big fan of music in general so we opted to take this fact about him and have some fun with it. We knew we had to top or at least match the Bathroom Cubicle so we had to go big. We started collecting items that reminded us of a 12-year-old’s bedroom. This meant Bop and Tiger Beat magazines (which made me feel super old because I had no clue who these people were), blankets, pillows, lamps, etc. As soon as he left the office the day before his birthday, we got to work. There were 3 of us working on it since it’s a pretty big space and he has a ton of things hanging up around his office.

Again, with any prank, there is a point where it can be good or you can take it to the next level and make it awesome. To do this, we knew we had to cover every inch of wall space with posters, however, that would take a lot of posters. We found hot pink wrapping paper for a $1 each and went with that as “wallpaper”. To make it feel more like a bedroom, I brought in my crib mattress and we set it on some pallets. Our co-worker brought in her teenage daughter’s bedding and voila! We have a bed.

Thanks to some friends of ours, we were able to get our hands on a Justin and Bruno cutout and some Nsync Swag.

Complete this prank with some good ole boy band music playing when they walk in and you have yourself a party!

I must say, we were pretty damn proud of ourselves with this one. It was such a happy room and pretty sure he didn’t seem this coming 🙂

Check out the other pranks! Plastic Wrap, Cups, Aluminum Foil, Cars, Lawn Signs, and the Bathroom Cubicle

Grad Nite at Magic Kingdom, April 2004

We pulled an all nighter at the Magic Kingdom for Grad Nite. It’s too bad they don’t do it for High School seniors anymore, what a fun night!!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

I can’t even handle his cuteness

Such a happy boy 🙂

Hudson had some fun with his buddies this week! We had lunch with Jackson. They are about 2 weeks apart! He is such a cutie 🙂

He also saw his pal Greyson. Greyson wanted to get to him so bad 🙂 A few more months buddy!

We stopped by to see our cousins too. Kyler having some fun with the boys, Cole and Reid.

Hudson is his happiest after a good night’s sleep. Aren’t we all?

Those cheeks!

Soaking up all the cuddle time I can with him. This is my last week of maternity leave [insert tears here]

Mr. Hudson

Trying to take a selfie but Kyler was too engrossed in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Hudson, well he doesn’t know what is going on 🙂

She loves her baby brother. She is such a good helper too 🙂

We headed down to the Aunt’s house this week for my baby cousin’s high school graduation party (ugh, starting to feel old). This was the spread, delicious!

My cousin Charlie, Dad, and Hudson

We hit up Magic Kingdom for a little bit before we had to pick up P’Pa and Nana from the airport. Hudson was ready to go in his 6-9 month Mickey Shirt (ridiculous, remember is his 2 months old). Thanks again to Aunt Jenn Jenn for getting it for him 🙂

Since thunderstorms and rain were in the forecast, we decided to leave the stroller in the car and brave it on foot. Chris wore Hudson and Kyler held my hand. I have to say, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and after it poured rain a couple of times, I was happy we left the stroller in the car.

Thanks to Fast Passes and the rain, Kyler was able to ride 8 rides within 4 hours. Hudson went on 6 himself 🙂

Loves her Dumbo

She went on her first roller coaster!

She looked pretty scared when we were on it but when we pulled back into the station she said “That was a really really fast ride.” I said were you scared or did you love it and she said “I LOVED it!”

It’s a Small World. Kyler told me she didn’t like this one. She was too bored. Go figure.

Ariel’s Daddy

Really loving that we got the annual passes. It’s nice to go to the park for a few hours and ride a few rides.

As I said earlier, this is my last week of maternity leave. Chris’s family is in town this week so we will be on the go spending time with them. Here is to a busy week with family!
