Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

17 Apr

Kyler’s new bed arrived finally!

I miss her sweet twin bed already but it hasn’t gone far, she will still use it at Grandma’s house. Grandma needed to get another twin and Kyler really wanted a bigger bed so it all worked out.

Just more room to hoard all of her friends

Last night working with my boss, friend and brother from another mother

Kyler has been enjoying soccer much more this year and that makes us so happy!

Caya and Kyler ❤

The Jenkinsons had a night out celebrating Phil’s last weekend in Orlando. The kids loved the sand pit

This kid ❤ ❤ ❤

Table side smores. Um yes please.

This guys are like family to me. Last time we will be together for a while. Not goodbye but see you again soon!

Love my crew ❤

The roller coaster is a big success in our house. Poor Caya learned the hard way that she needs to get out of the way.

The kids had their 1st art exhibit at school 🙂

Not even sure what this is supposed to be but the other kids pictures are similar so maybe I am missing something….

We celebrated National Grilled Cheese Day with grilled cheese for dinner

My princess

So Hudson found a brand new jar of Baby Vicks and rubbed it all over his hair and chair in his room on Saturday.

Of course multiple washes (including Dawn dish soap) and his hair is still a grease pit. Baby powder is helping soak it up. Finally tonight, his hair is starting to feel somewhat normal again.

Today’s weather was pretty much amazing. It was a bit windy which gave the air a nice cool breeze which mean lunch and dinner outside and we could keep our doors wide open!

This girl goes to the bathroom, comes out with a headband on and eating a burger. She’s so silly.

Hudson is really loving his baseball set. Funny, he is batting left handed right now. He can hit right but he immediately switches and feels more comfortable batting left.

It’s been a busy basketball season and bummed it ended earlier but looking forward to a fun summer!

Oh Two-dles: Hudson’s 2nd Birthday

6 Apr

We went easy this year. I didn’t really have the time to go all out like I usually do but it was nice just to take it easy and enjoy the party. Hudson loves Mickey so the Oh Two-dles theme was perfect.

His cake was from Publix because they make awesome cakes.

It started off raining but cleared up later in the party. Some of the kids made their way outside but some opted for the playroom upstairs.

Hudson was happy to play in his park

Sweet Harper and Reese cruising in the backyard 🙂

Hudson refused to nap that day (and had woken up 4 times the night before) so he passed out in the swing.

Meanwhile, Kyler helped herself to dipping carrots in the frosting. Gross

We opened gifts and Hudson had a great time with all his new trucks and cars!

I didn’t take as many photos as I should have but it’s okay. We had a nice day with family and friends and Hudson had so much fun!

Hudson: Two Years Old

5 Apr

Hud the Stud is now two years old!

He is by definition, all boy and definitely a 2 year old toddler.

He is crazy, silly, rough, rambunctious, sweet, hot tempered, and all around a fun little guy to be around.

He is a TALKER. His vocab has really exploded in the last 6 months and he has quite a lot to say. Most of the time they are silly things or he is trying to boss us around (I want that, go get that, etc) so we have been working on our please and thank yous 🙂 He loves to sing and dance, just like big sister. He has been practicing his independence lately and does not like our help with much. He has a pretty short fuse so he can get angry pretty quick. Right now, he loves to push, hit, and slap (or steal Kyler’s glasses) so he has been spending some QT in timeout. On the other hand, Kyler is pretty much his best friend. He adores her and everything she does. He is a copy cat so whatever she does, he isn’t far behind. Can be a good thing or a really bad thing 🙂 They have the best time together and laugh a lot. They think they are so funny.

Hudson EATS and eats A LOT! I never worry about that boy. He still doesn’t like veggies but that is the only struggle. At breakfast he can put more food down than me some days. He eats quick too. Sometimes you need to tell him to slow down but he is just so hungry he just goes. He loves yogurt, grapes, bananas, applesauce, shell noodles (aka mac and cheese), mashed potatoes, chicken veggie rice, pancakes, eggs, and crackers. He HATES peanut butter and chocolate. Weird kid, I know 🙂

As I said, he is all boy. He loves to play sports, be outside, climb on things, tackle mom and dad, go swimming, trucks, cars, choo choo trains (his favorite thing right now), Mickey Mouse, Elmo and Cookie Monster. He is a fast runner and loves to take off so that can be fun at times. He thinks it’s pretty funny too. He is an okay sleeper. He cries before bed every single night (has been for a year) but usually settles down quickly. He has been waking up in the middle of the night but goes back to sleep for the most part. He also loves to wake up early. He is hard to get to take a nap so he has been known to skip naps and that is no good for anyone. This is one area I would love to see him get better at!

Hudson is a big boy. He is 30lbs (75% percentile) and 37.5″ (99% percentile). He is wearing 3T (2T bottoms), size 5 diaper and size 8-8.5 shoes.  He sleeps in a full size bed and found out he could get out of bed within the first 5 minutes of getting his new bed. He is a strong little guy and is pretty coordinated for his age. His one kidney is still dilated but there is no reason to be alarmed and we will continue seeing the kidney doctor until he out grows it. He has pretty bad eczema on his skin that nothing seems to work so I am hoping he outgrows that too.

Hudson Alexander, you are exhausting, a monster, and the sweetest most fun little man around and we wouldn’t have it any other way!!

We celebrated Hudson’s 2nd birthday this week!

We had lasagna and birthday cupcakes

Nana & P’pa arrived just in time for his gift! New water table for Hudson!

Silly faces for K

Kyler’s the teacher and she is reading Hud the book. Funny how he listens to her…. sometimes 🙂

Kyler had her 1st soccer game on Saturday! #6 on the navy blue team!

After the game, we celebrated Hudson’s birthday with friends and family for a Mickey party! Separate post coming for that one!

Sunday was our 6 year wedding anniversary. We celebrated by lounging around the house and playing with birthday toys!

It didn’t hurt that it was BEAUTIFUL outside either

Ugh this girl steals my heart ❤

Chris whipped me up one of my favorite meals and it was delish 🙂

It was a crazy jam packed week for us with family in town and Hudson’s birthday but it was so much fun! Here’s to April!
