Lincoln: One Month

28 Nov

Lincoln turned one month old on Thanksgiving, the 24th.

He is a super chunk πŸ™‚ He likes to eat and I am thankful that I have gotten him okay with eating every 3 hours instead of 2. He nurses in about 10 minutes and when he falls asleep, there is no getting him to eat again. He hates being gassy, poor guys spits up quite a bit and I can always tell if he needs to burp. He loves bathtime. He is so relaxed and content and could sit there all day. Funny because Hudson hated bathtime. He has his own little look going on, however, I do see a mix of Kyler and Hudson as he is getting older. Even personality wise, he is sort of a blend between the two. He isn’t as easy going as Hudson was as a baby but not near as fussy as Kyler.

He is wearing 3-6 month clothes for the most part, 6 months for Carter’s brand. He is about 13 pounds now and off the chart for both height and weight. His eyes are still pretty dark but they are still blue and his hair seems to be lightening up a bit. He has big hands and big feet so I am sure he will be a big boy too. He could take or leave his paci which I hope stays a trend. We don’t seem to give it to him near as much as the other 2 kiddos and I am okay with that. He only uses it when he is hungry and it’s really not time to eat. We also don’t swaddle him. So different for us because his brother and sister loved it but he prefers to have his arms out, he doesn’t really startle easily. He is sleeping in the pack and play by my bed and moved out of the rock and play a week or so ago. He isn’t a huge fan of the swing but loves to sit in his bouncer with the vibrate on.

He sort of goes with the flow… he is much more alert now and likes to start at the ceiling fans. He can get a bit fussy at night but we are learning what makes him happy. A good burp, warm blanket and being left alone is working right now.

Happy one month big boy. We love you and are so happy you are here!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

28 Nov

Ammo is still on the steroid and ever since we lowered his dose, he is up to his mischievous ways but wants to eat everything and anything. Case in point, we keep the cat food on the top perch and he found a way to get to it.

This chunky dude is having a hard time fitting in his 3 month clothes

We decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving this year because, well I just wanted to. Christmas pjs for everyone!

hello cute boy

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year.

We had lots of great foods, tons of leftovers and great company. After everyone left and the kitchen was straightened up, we crashed on the couch. Perfect Thanksgiving.

The nights have been great for bike rides and trips to the park

We are hoping Santa brings him a new bike for Christmas

Speaking of Santa, we loaded up yesterday and went to the mall to see Santa. We had this puppy loaded up!

Funny story…. about 3 years ago, we took Kyler to the Tampa Zoo for her 2nd birthday and we had just gotten this stroller and I was pregnant with Hudson. A lady with the same stroller had 3 kids; 1 baby, 1 toddler and 1 pre-schooler and said how much she loved the stroller and this is what it looks like with 3 kids. I laughed and remember saying “haha, yeah, not for us!”. Funny how much things change in 3 short years πŸ™‚

This boy was so excited to see Santa

Santa pictures! Some of my favorites

Love this tree ❀

Bedtime craziness… poor Lincoln

Sorry little guy!

We had a great Thanksgiving and have so much to be thankful for. This is our favorite time of year and we are soaking up all the holiday spirit we can πŸ™‚

2 weeks to catch you up on which means lots of photos of Lincoln because I am home all day and can’t help but take photos because he is just. so. cute. Side note: It’s funny to look at the photos from 2 week ago to now because he has definitely plumped up πŸ™‚

Great big sis!

2 week for Lincoln went great! He was 10 pounds and 11 ounces.

Chunky man

Lincoln’s first bottle. We have only done it a few times but he doesn’t seem to mind where it comes from.

Snuggles for Caya

I could stare at this face all day long ❀

We celebrated baby Kate and mom to be Marisa!

My heart.

Such a hunk

Mama’s boys

I told Kyler to get dressed for the day and this is what she came up with… and wore for the rest of the day!

Snuggle monster

I am loving my days with Lincoln. Maternity leave is suiting me well.

Look at those cheeks!

Heaven.

Think he has missed a meal?

We hit up Scott’s Corn Maze this past week to get our Fall fix and it was so fun!

It’s a 6 acre maze and we didn’t get lost (ok we had help with a map)

Found a clue

This guy just snoozed and enjoyed the ride

Jenkinson, party of five.

They had nice big playground too that the kiddos enjoyed climbing on

I got home to find my new three sisters necklace waiting for me!

I also added Lincoln’s charms for my old necklace so I am excited to start wearing that again. I seriously love that store!

She loves her baby brother

Beautiful boy

The weather was perfect today and perfect to take a drive to the park to play with their besties.

We are looking forward to hosting Thanksgiving this week and enjoying more family time!

Lincoln: 3 Weeks

18 Nov

Lincoln is growing quickly! He weighs about 11 pounds and eats every 2-3 hours. He is more alert (although he choose to sleep during this photo) and is still as sweet and snuggly as ever πŸ™‚

Lincoln: 2 Weeks

7 Nov

2 weeks already!

Lincoln weights 10 pounds and 5 ounces and we will go back for our 2 week check up on Thursday. He has gained 2.5 pounds in about 10 days. Crazy!

He is waking up a bit more and his bruising has gotten a lot better. He also has a belly button today which means a real bath for him tonight! The little things you celebrate πŸ™‚

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

6 Nov

On Halloween, they had party at school and they dressed as Cinderella and Superman. She is so beautiful ❀

He takes his job seriously.

Meanwhile, I blogged and hung out with sleepy Lincoln. I am loving maternity leave so far

His first Halloween

The kids love Star Wars so this year they went as Kylo Ren and Rey from the Force Awakens. Also, since Lincoln joined us before Halloween, he was BB-8. Perfect combo!

Kyler as Rey

Hudson as Kylo Ren

Lincoln as BB-8

We headed out for some trick or treating with the Gilberstons

We weren’t out too long but the kids still had fun!

Most of my day I just spend starring at Lincoln. I love his sweet face.

When he is awake (the very limited time) I try to keep him entertained… for a 2 week old.

Picture day at school for this ham

We are so lucky

Happy Lincoln

Crappy photo but love our family

Oh Lincoln, how your face melts me

This picture cracks me up… Hudson’s little butt in his undies ❀ So proud of him for being potty trained, even at night now! No more pull-ups!

My mini… we have so much fun together

Hudson and his “boy” Lincoln. Hud is the cutest, he calls Lincoln his boy and then gets the playmat out and says he wants to play with him. The cutest.

We celebrated Reese’s 3rd birthday on Saturday and the kids had fun playing with the animals

After the party, we dropped Lincoln off with Grandma and Poppa and took Kyler and Hud to see Trolls. It was super cute and Hudson was so excited that his favorite song, Can’t Stop That Feeling, was in the movie

Kyler drew a picture of the ducks she met. So cute.

Meanwhile, little man just hung out and watched his crazy older brother and sister run around the house

Today, Grandma took Kyler to American Girl Doll store and she picked out a few things early for Christmas. She wanted to be “twinsies” with her doll. She also got a bear Poppy from Build a Bear. She sure is spoiled πŸ™‚

It was a busy week adjusting to a family of five but we are getting the hang of it πŸ™‚ Lincoln is growing fast and fitting right in.
