Hudson: Three Years Old

26 May

Hudson, or Hud the Stud, turned three years old in late March. This one… he is quite the handful. He can be the sweetest thing and then one second later he makes you want to pull your hair out 🙂 He is the ultimate daddy’s boy (although he is warming back up to mom), loves his sister and brother, and marches to his own drum.

Hud is quite the character. At times he is the sweetest and most loving little guy. He still likes to cuddle, give kisses, and wants to be with us all of the time. That said, I thought Kyler was hard at 3 but he has her beat. He loves to talk back, pushes the limits, throw tantrums and well, you know, act like a toddler. He spends more time in time out than I would like but I know it’s just a stage. We joke that he is like my dad because his mouth gets him in trouble quite a bit 🙂

Hudson loves to dance, play with his toys (Star Wars, Ninja Turtles, Cars, Trains, Super Heroes, Barbies and Shopkins), and eat cookies. This kid and his dance moves are one of the funniest and best things to watch. He loves a good beat and gets into the music. He picked swimming back up and started soccer. He loves the Moana soundtrack and loves him some Maui. Star Wars are still his number one favorite, however, he has gotten into Ninja Turtles recently as well. He loves to play with Kyler’s Barbies and Shopkins which causes quite the fight sometimes. He is also obsessed with Legos and more importantly, the minifigures.

He is the real life cookie monster. His favorites are sugar cookies or golden Oreos but is finally coming around to chocolate. He was never the biggest fan but he is starting to eat it more and more. He still LOVES his broccoli, fried rice, spaghetti, chicken nuggets, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, and noodles.

He absolutely adores Kyler. While they fight at times, they are each others best friend. He is getting better at sharing his toys with her and they could just play for hours. We went through a rough patch around after the holidays where he was so mean to her but he is back to his loving self and they are getting along great again. I had no idea what to expect with Lincoln but he is amazing with him. He has never shown a side of jealousy and loves being a big brother. He likes to help when Lincoln cries and will give him his paci or sing him a song to get Linc to stop. It’s so sweet and adorable and I can’t wait to see how they interact when Lincoln gets a bit older.

Hud also likes Mickey Mouse, Maui, PJ Masks, Stormtroopers, Stormtroopers or and Stormtroopers. He is still into the Hulk and other superheroes and likes to watch their TV shows and movies. He has a good time at Disney but seems to be a bit more timid than his big sister. He will go on a roller coaster but he definitely not has fearless as she is. He loves to read books at night and some of his favorites are Don’t Push the Button, Dragons Love Tacos, and his dinosaur books.

He is moving up to pre-school this year (same school but more structure and uniforms) and looking forward to his progression. For a while, he was the oldest in his classroom and that was creating some behavioral problems 🙂 Ya know, like taking your shoes off and throwing them at your teacher or hitting your friends. We really pushed for him to move up a class so instead of being the oldest, he is one of the younger ones and that has seem to help a lot. He can’t push them around now and things are much better.

Hudson is 33 pounds and 39 inches and a little beanpole. I have a feeling he is like Chris and will continue to gets taller without filling out! His 2t bathing suits are still slightly big haha. Other than that, he is wearing 3t shorts and shirts and size 10 shoes. He has been completely potty trained for a while now and is great using the potty.

We love you Hudson! You give us a run for our money but we wouldn’t want you any other way!
