Hello 2017

3 Jan

Before we say hello to 2017, let’s take a look at 2016. For the Jenkinsons, 2016 was a great year!

In January, Kyler turned 4

In February, we got a new couch

and found out we were pregnant

In March, Hudson turned 2

In April, we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary by eating dinner at home and drinking sparkling grape juice

In May, I turned 30 and we went to the Keys to celebrate

We also announced that we were expecting Baby J #3

In June, tragedy struck our city

We hosted the victims, their families and the President and Vice President at the arena and while it was incredibly sad, it was one of the most impactful days of my career.

In July, I got a new car

In August, Kyler started VPK

and Chris turned 37

In September, Hudson was potty trained

and we celebrated Baby J’s upcoming arrival

In October, we had a hurricane

that thankfully moved east a bit so it wasn’t bad at all

Hudson bumped his chin and got 6 stitches

Kyler finished her 4th soccer season (and scored her first goal!)

Ammo gave a huge scare health wise but is stable now

and we finally met our baby BOY Lincoln!

In November, we hosted Thanksgiving

In December, we celebrated Christmas all month long

and Nana and P’Pa came to visit

As we look forward to 2017, I look forward to celebrating more birthdays, watching Lincoln grow and learn new things every day, getting back in shape and not being pregnant, doing some renovations on the house, and enjoying our new family of 5. Kyler will be starting kindergarten this year, Hudson will be a big 3 year old, we will celebrate Lincoln’s 1st birthday and my mom turns 60 this year. We also look forward to traveling again this year.

My hope is that we will be able to take in all the memories because time is flying by. Kyler, Hudson and Lincoln are the light of my eyes and I am so lucky to be their mom. I will continue to spend all of my free time and energy to making more memories, playing, laughing and enjoying them because I never want to take it for granted. While Chris and I may be exhausted, we would rather get out there and see life through their eyes. My goal for the next several years is to travel more with them. We love our family vacations and now that Lincoln is here (and we are done having kids) we will be able to start planning some fun places to visit. Hello 2017, can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!

A Very Merry Christmas- 2016

2 Jan

We were so excited for Christmas to come!

We made lots of cookies

On Christmas Eve, Grandma and Poppa came over for dinner. After a ham dinner, we got into our Christmas pjs and drove around and looked at Christmas lights.

Poppa read them a Christmas book

Beamer enjoyed it 🙂

Hudson wanted to sleep in the dog cage instead.

The Drabyk and Jenkinson pups! The outnumber people 🙂 From left the right that is Beamer, Emmy, Tinker Bell, Ammo, Mia, Maggie, Caya and Wrigley

Cookies and milk were put out and gifts were left

Love their faces on Christmas morning

Santa brought them both a hatchimal

Lincoln’s first Christmas was spent like this ❤

The aftermath!

The kiddos got lots of fun toys to play with

Lincoln loves his new piano mat!

Yeah… Lincoln doesn’t really fit on Kyler, haha

On Christmas night, we headed over to my aunt’s house for a family dinner and gift exchange. The kiddos didn’t participate in the white elephant, however, Kyler helped Chris and I out. Towards the end, she said she wanted to go again and my aunt told her that her numbers were already picked and our turn was over. She left the room and came back with another number. Smart cookie went and made her own number so she could join in 🙂

My bestie was in town so we headed over to see her and her sweet little family the day after Christmas.

That night, Nana and P’pa arrived from Pennsylvania!

We redid Christmas morning with them on the 27th and the kids couldn’t have been happier to have them here for Christmas.

After gifts, breakfast and play time, we made a turkey dinner and went to Light Up UCF for some more ice skating fun.

She had a nice little wipeout but recovered well!

We capped the night off with a puppet show from the new puppet tent Nana and P’Pa got them for Christmas

On Thursday, we went over to the port to have lunch on the water.

It was a GREAT Christmas filled with lots of fun times with family! I hope everyone had a great holiday season!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from The Jenkinsons!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

6 Nov

On Halloween, they had party at school and they dressed as Cinderella and Superman. She is so beautiful ❤

He takes his job seriously.

Meanwhile, I blogged and hung out with sleepy Lincoln. I am loving maternity leave so far

His first Halloween

The kids love Star Wars so this year they went as Kylo Ren and Rey from the Force Awakens. Also, since Lincoln joined us before Halloween, he was BB-8. Perfect combo!

Kyler as Rey

Hudson as Kylo Ren

Lincoln as BB-8

We headed out for some trick or treating with the Gilberstons

We weren’t out too long but the kids still had fun!

Most of my day I just spend starring at Lincoln. I love his sweet face.

When he is awake (the very limited time) I try to keep him entertained… for a 2 week old.

Picture day at school for this ham

We are so lucky

Happy Lincoln

Crappy photo but love our family

Oh Lincoln, how your face melts me

This picture cracks me up… Hudson’s little butt in his undies ❤ So proud of him for being potty trained, even at night now! No more pull-ups!

My mini… we have so much fun together

Hudson and his “boy” Lincoln. Hud is the cutest, he calls Lincoln his boy and then gets the playmat out and says he wants to play with him. The cutest.

We celebrated Reese’s 3rd birthday on Saturday and the kids had fun playing with the animals

After the party, we dropped Lincoln off with Grandma and Poppa and took Kyler and Hud to see Trolls. It was super cute and Hudson was so excited that his favorite song, Can’t Stop That Feeling, was in the movie

Kyler drew a picture of the ducks she met. So cute.

Meanwhile, little man just hung out and watched his crazy older brother and sister run around the house

Today, Grandma took Kyler to American Girl Doll store and she picked out a few things early for Christmas. She wanted to be “twinsies” with her doll. She also got a bear Poppy from Build a Bear. She sure is spoiled 🙂

It was a busy week adjusting to a family of five but we are getting the hang of it 🙂 Lincoln is growing fast and fitting right in.

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

4 Jul

Free ice cream from 4 Rivers for preggos! Coffee Oreo, yes please 🙂

Just your average Thursday night with Justin Bieber. Yeah, I will pass next time….

Super fun hanging with my partner in crime Alexis and seeing an old friend!

We kicked off another summer league on Saturday… here’s to a week long of basketball outside my office!

We hit Lucky’s Market up again… it was less busy and this time I had the kids.

Yes, that is beer.

Kyler wanted to sing a made up song to the baby. Hudson wanted to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star… this is what you get.

It’s insanely hot here and our pool wasn’t much cooler. 93 degrees didn’t really help cool us off.

My Batgirl and Batman ❤

Kyler couldn’t wait to get into the fireworks so we shot some up on Sunday.

Happy girl

We hit the pool earlier in the day so that helped with the pool temp. Gotta have watermelon on the 4th!

Frankie the Flamingo (has Kyler calls it)

4th of July pool time!

We spent the afternoon putting Hudson’s new bed together. It’s much lower than his last (converted crib) so it’s so much better for him! Just need to get the rest of his furniture and re-hang the pictures and his room will be good to go!

Sneak peek of the baby’s room. Ombre wall, check!

Snap pops while we cook dinner

This girl loves her fireworks

4th of July dinner! Kielbasa, fried shrimp, grilled corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. Yum!!

My parents gave us this big fireworks. Kyler loved them! Hudson, not so much.

Happy 4th from the Jenkinsons!

Weekend Update with the Jenkinsons: Merry Christmas!

27 Dec

Another 2-in-1 coming your way!

The week prior to Christmas was a busy one.

I had a few work holiday parties, a game, and then had to pack for a road trip/Tennessee wedding

We left bright and early (5:30am) and headed up north. We packed all the necessary road trip snacks

The kids did great and Hudson made a mess

We had to pass through Asheville, NC to get where we needed to go. We were there by 2:30pm and were making awesome time so we decided to go up the mountain and check on my grandparents house. They live in Florida and haven’t been there in a while.

Driving up to their house is usually a beautiful drive, however, we had clouds, clouds and more clouds. Not much to see.

I have spent many times playing on this porch as a kid myself so it was fun to see the kids there

We weren’t there long and needed to get going. Although it isn’t far outside Asheville, it was a 2 hour detour because of the mountain roads

Tackles from Hud the Stud

We made our way to Kingsport and it was chilly!!

He loves the cold weather!

Kyler…. not so much…..

Snow flurries before the rehearsal!

She loves her brother!

They got to hang out with cousin Matt for the weekend so you know they were excited!

Playing in the hotel lobby

It also happened to by P’pa’s (aka my father-in-laws) birthday! It was nice to celebrate the day with him!

Sweet Kyler was the flower girl. She looked so beautiful ❤

Her hair accessory is the same one I wore on my wedding day

and then you have this handsome man

Pumped he found his belly button

The flower girl and the ring bearer!

Beautiful wedding!

This guy!

The kids were EXHAUSTED by this point

Happy man

We hit the road early Sunday morning (6:30am) and headed back home

The kids couldn’t have been better. There was lots and lots of movies, snacks, and naps 🙂

Thankfully, I had 2 days off to get my house and things ready for Christmas. I worked the game on the 23rd and then was back in Christmas mode. Grandma, Poppa and the dogs came over on Christmas Eve. Decorating cookies for Santa!

So beautiful 🙂

I whipped up a Polish Christmas Eve dinner. The holidays always reminds me of my grandparents, especially my Grandma Drabyk. We had piergoies, kielbasa, and haluski (cabbage and dumplings). Here’s to you, Grandma!

After dinner, we drove around (well Kyler drove, we walked) to look at the lights

Our neighbor does a Christmas show every year where you turn it to a station and his lights dance to the music. Her car has a “party” mode and a FM radio. We found the station and joined in on the fun!

After, it was time for dessert. Yum.

Tackle Poppa!

All ready for Christmas!

Patiently waiting to come see their presents

Kyler’s face when she saw that Santa brought her a Puppy Surprise 🙂

Hudson did okay… he was more interested in playing with the toys then opening. Kyler couldn’t open hers fast enough!

Merry Christmas!!!

Hud loves his new train!

We spent the day playing and unpacking toys until it was time for dinner. Christmas ham.

I had a game on Saturday but the kids seemed to have fun with Dad

Today, we bummed around the house. We watched Inside Out, played with our Christmas toys, and Kyler, Hudson and I drove (again Kyler drove and I ran behind) up to the park.

She’s a little Monkey

What a BUSY but AMAZING few weeks. I can’t believe Christmas has already come and gone…..I am a little sad but my wallet is happy 🙂
