Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

5 Apr

K Bug had her first dentist appointment this week and it went great! No cavities!

She also had her first day of soccer too. She definitely wasn’t too into but I hear it’s normal and she will warm up to it.

Regardless, her good pal Kenley is on the team so all is well 🙂

DIY Network’s Man Caves was on the scene at work this past week. Pretty cool to see the behind the scenes of this show!

Friday, Chris and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. It was Good Friday so I had off work and Chris took a half day. After Hud’s doctor’s appointment, we dropped him off and headed out to Disney
I remember when we got married we said we were going to celebrate our 5 years in Europe. I never understood why people, especially in Orlando, would spend their anniversary at Disney World. I mean, it’s for families and such. Fast forward to our life now…. and yup, that’s us. Europe? Would love too but um yeah, not in the cards right now 🙂 Someday! And hey….we only had half a day, are going on a couple of trips at the end of this month and we already pay for Disney passes soooo it worked 🙂 Plus, we have something special planned for a few weeks from now 🙂

First Stop, Hollywood Studios

We hit up the “big kid” rides that we normally don’t get to do.

After a few rides (and a few drinks), we headed over to California Grill on top of the Contemporary Hotel

Selfies upon selfies 🙂

The sunset was beautiful!

Dinner was good! It doesn’t look like a lot but there is a lot of food in there.

After dinner, we headed out to the terrace to watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks ❤

After, we made an impromptu trip over to Magic Kingdom.

After a couple rides, we hit up Cheesecake Factory on the way home and picked up our wedding cake. Chris gets it for me every anniversary ❤

The next day, we headed back to the Island, picked up the kids and hit the beach! Hud has only been once and he was like 4 months old so I was excited to bring him back. He loved it!

Beach beauty

At first, K wasn’t sure about the water… Hud loved it 🙂

This helped her get going! Poor Hud wanted to go so bad.

My dude

After a bit, she was fearless and wanted to ride some waves

He was a mess…. he didn’t mind one bit either.

Easter 2014

21 Apr

We had a great Easter! Kyler has been giving us a bit of a hard time lately (terrible twos and adding Hudson to the bunch) but she was great all day! Definitely needed a day like that with her and there wasn’t a better day to pick than Easter Sunday!

We started the day with finding Kyler’s basket. We “hid” it in her bedroom and she found it when she woke up.

She got a beach towel, flip-flops, a brush, pool toys and candy.

We had my family over in the morning to watch Kyler hunt for Easter eggs. We also did Easter lunch complete with Ham, Cheesy Potatoes, Mac n Cheese, and Fruit Salad.

She was so excited to look for eggs that she was all over the place. She kept saying “there it is!” and then would take off to the next egg while passing a couple on the way.

So many eggs!!

Grandma stuffed some of them with money. The rest had Jelly Beans in them which she was trying to eat in record time.

Hudson and Uncle Josh

I asked Kyler to take a break to take a picture with her brother and she was very annoyed. So as I told her to smile, this is the face she gave me…. thanks Kyler.

She had such a fun day playing. Uncle Josh gave her a big coloring book that kept her busy a for a bit.

and of course she played on the new swing set all day.

So many Easter baskets!!

I hope everyone had a happy Easter!

Our Merry Christmas

30 Dec

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas this year!!! We had a good Christmas, however, we could have done without the stomach bug. Chris had it Christmas Eve and felt better by that night, Kyler became sick Christmas Eve night and was better by the morning, and I got it Christmas morning 😦 We all managed through it and still had a nice Christmas.

Christmas Eve night we baked cookies for Santa and watched the Grinch.

He ate them all!

Ready to go!

Someone’s excited!

Is this all for me???

Grandma, Poppa and Josh are here!

Opening her first gift.

Loves Mickey and Minnie

Girl loves her books!

Feeding her new baby

Enjoying her new chair and Leappad from Santa.

The aftermath.

Kyler got WAY too many presents but that’s okay 🙂 She is allowed to be spoiled. I can’t quite seem to figure out what her favorites are yet. She keeps bouncing around. She does love her VTech Go Go Smart Wheels Train Set.

Chris & I got a bunch of different goodies!!! Great Christmas indeed 🙂

Again, we hope you had a very Merry Christmas and that you have a great new year!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons: Happy Easter!

31 Mar

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!

First, let’s go over the week. I don’t have too many photos because Kyler started the week off sick. Then by the middle of the week, I had what Kyler had and have been dealing with that all week. Chris started feeling not so good last night so needless to say, it has been a somewhat unproductive week.  Chris and I were able to make it out to a lunch and movie date on Friday while Kyler was in daycare. We went and saw the new GI Joe movie and it was pretty good!

I just love Kyler’s new summer hat!

The week started off a little chilly for us here in Florida but it warmed up enough to make some beautiful days!

Kyler playing the piano. She seemed to pick it up pretty fast 😉

We had a great Easter today over at my parents. Kyler opened up her Easter baskets….

Then, Kyler got to have her first Easter egg hunt and she did awesome!

She found them all!

We had to go inside and open them all up!

The Easter Bunny left Kyler money!!!

More play time!

Kyler also had her first bite of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg….of course she was a fan…

Kyler and Poppa went on a golf cart ride before dinner.

After that, we had a super yummy Ham Easter Dinner made by my Momma and then had to head back to Orlando.

This was a much more laid back than last year’s Easter but that is okay. Each one will hold a special place in my heart. Easter 2012 was Kyler’s first Easter and my last Easter with my brother Craig but this Easter was so much fun hunting for Easter Eggs with Kyler. They are both equally awesome 🙂

How was your Easter weekend? Have a great week!
