Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

23 Jul

So it’s been a month since I have posted and it’s probably the longest I have gone without a weekend post. July has been crazy busy for me and when I have had the very little down time, I have spent it relaxing.

Big guy turned 8 months old… and tomorrow he will be 9 months.

Kyler has been loving gymnastics still. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to go but I am looking forward to this week!

Since it’s been ridiculously hot out, we have been in the pool a lot.

Ammo and Lincoln ❤

We had some friends over for the 4th. Merica!

Kids and sparklers… seems like a good idea

They did okay until Hud bumped into Kyler with a hot stick… then the fun was over.

Metallica came into town and it was my favorite concert to date!

Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat opened and I couldn’t have been happier

It was amazing and crazy loud. Couldn’t hear for 2 days!

40,000+ of my closest friends

Lincoln isn’t so little anymore ❤

So all of our kiddos look alike. This is the three of them at 8.5 months old. Lincoln top pictures, Hudson bottom left and Kyler bottom right.

We celebrated Poppa’s birthday

I went to Vegas for work conference. 48 hours total trip time + 7am flights + 3 hour time difference = BRUTAL

Sleeping at breakfast ❤

The kids got to meet STUFF up close and personal for the first time. They love STUFF!

Lincoln and his sweet friend Kate ❤

LiteBrights are still a big hit with the kids…. Kyler loves her!

I had another work conference but this time it was in Orlando at Disney. Work is so tough when you are playing around at Disney 🙂

We celebrated Alyssa’s birthday and Phil was in town!

Arena Ops circa 2010-2016

Hudson loves all things Star Wars so we headed to Hollywood Studios for some Star Wars fun.

Hudson LOVES Storm Troopers so he was set. He had to wear his shirt, shoes, hat, mask and bracelet. He was so excited to see them walking around.

Yeah… they are not fans of Kylo Ren. He still scares them too much.

We headed off to Jedi Training in the 150 degree Florida Sun.

Using the Force!

So intense

Meeting BB-8 ❤

Andddd more Storm Troopers. He had to show him his little trooper toy

After we got stuck in the rain, we headed to Animal Kingdom. Checking out Pandora.

Then went on a safari ride

These sweet 3 year boy gorillas were so fun to watch. They were wrestling and playing around and so funny ❤

Dad was HUGE

Amazing amazing animals

They adored their dad ❤

Hud’s tiger

We spent SO much time at Disney and we were so tired. Relaxing with the kiddos ❤

******

This past week I have also been able to spend some time with my best friend Jenny, although I wish it was under better circumstances. Jean, may you rest in peace and be pain free. You were an inspirational woman that I always looked up to. Such a fighter, amazing mom and Nana, and best friend to a lot of people. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. ❤

Spring 2016 Soccer Picture

2 Saturdays ago, we hit up Magic Kingdom. It was a fun but hot day!

Hudson went on his first roller coaster. He didn’t mind it but didn’t seem overly excited either.

Jungle cruisin’ with Dad

Cool girl

My mini ❤

We opted for indoor rides/things to do after lunch.

So not sure if Kyler is just super gifted when it comes to lazer tag or what but she KICKED my butt and I didn’t help her one bit. Seriously, she did better than Chris and I combined.

Hud and I rode Winnie the Pooh while they did the roller coaster.

We ran into Kacie (and Kellie) and on our way out! Poor Kyler was so hot she asked to go home haha.

Within 5 minutes of leaving!

Just. love. this. face.

Earlier in the week, Hudson jumped off the couch and hit his eye on the table. He handled it like a champ!

Hudson’s masterpiece

We have been looking at tile for the downstairs…. they aren’t the best helpers.

This is Hudson’s face when you take him through the car wash

Memorial Day BBQ. Chowing down on watermelon.

When you tell her to go upstairs and change for bed… you find her coming out of the dryer?

We had big plans for the pool Memorial Day but the rain put an end to that. I feel ya girl.

They had strawberry shortcake for the first time. And they loved it. Duh.

Let’s jump on Dad!

They were pretty excited to find ducks in our yard when we got home. So they fed them some bread.

My fish

For some reason, it went from nice May weather to mid August weather over night. For the last week or so, it’s been mid to high 90s so we spent a lot of time in the pool.

Doggies need a bath too!

Today, we cleaned out the deck box and threw away the bad toys and found some old ones.

We spent the rest of the day lounging around, ordering Hudson’s new furniture and looking at fabrics for baby #3’s room. Back at it tomorrow.

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

7 Jun

Kyler’s 1st soccer season officially came to an end. She got her very 1st trophy!

The Little Monsters

We had a party at the splash pad with her teammates. Cupcakes were there, of course.

I love these 2 crazy kiddos

We hit up Disney on Saturday and it turned into being a tour of the princesses

Sweet Hudson went along with it but didn’t seem to mind!

We met Mickey too.

It was a PACKED day but we still managed to do a few things… Kyler participated in the dance parade

<3<3<3

We bought K an autograph book to start collecting her favorite signatures in.

Having so much fun on the teacups

Hudson is a climber. He gets into everything and on everything and I know it’s only the beginning

Just heading home from Kenley’s pool party

Fun weekend with the kiddos, as always. Even though they are both tough right now (Kyler going into a new “stage” and Hudson is MOBILE), I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂

Kyler’s 3rd Birthday Weekend!!!

29 Jan

A three year old birthday party was much different than a one year old or two year old party. At least it was for us. What I mean by that is that at age one, it’s mainly for the parents. The kid has no idea what is going on and what a birthday is. When it comes time for the second birthday, it’s still mainly for the parents, however, your kid may have some input in terms of what they like but outside of that, they still really don’t know what is going on. However, for the third birthday, that is when they definitely have some say so.

Kyler’s birthday was Monday, the 26th, however we started the party celebration on Friday. We brought in mini cupcakes for her class and they were able to sing her Happy Birthday at school.

Saturday was her birthday party with all of her friends. She had been telling me for about 5 months that she wanted a dinosaur and alligator . Um, what? I honestly thought it was just a moment in time thing but she kept at it and never dropped it. About 3 months ago (hey, I am an event planner-what can I say), I was thinking to myself “Okay, what are you going to do for a dinosaur and alligator party?” It dawned on me…. the Orlando Science Center! They have a great dinosaur area and baby alligators and guess what? They host birthday parties! This was perfect because Kyler now has a bunch of friends at school and I didn’t really want to entertain a bunch of people at my house. I mean do you remember how all out I went for her 2nd birthday?

Honestly, even though I was a bit sad that I didn’t get to be all creative and fun, it was AMAZING and pretty much stress free. I didn’t have to worry about a clean house, food, making sure everything was perfect, etc. We showed up and they handled everything!

First, she started out making a “lava” lamp and doing “volcano” explosion experiments.

Watching more science experiments!

Playing in one of the dino digs

We had a baby alligator come to the room and everyone got to pet him! His name was Taft 🙂

Time for cake!

Playtime with friends

These 2 were full of it and running through the exhibit like crazy people

The big guy had fun too!

Sunday, we had a birthday party for family at my parents house! We kept it simple; pizza and cake.

My dad snuck Hudson some icing….I was not too happy, however, Hudson seemed to love it.

Kyler got this sweet ride for her birthday!

Taken her baby bro for a ride

Drivers Ed

She had a great time!

Think someone has enough jewelry?

Uncle Josh!

Playing soccer with cousin Cole!

For her actual birthday, Chris and I both took off work and took her to a surprise breakfast with the princesses at the Grand Floridian.

He is such a flirt!

The other 4 princesses made their way around to our table

The Grand Floridan is so pretty! So is this little model 🙂

She is 3!

Running off to catch the monorail

We spent the rest of the day at Magic Kindgom. The park wasn’t too busy and we were able to get on 10 different rides, catch the parade, meet Tinker Bell, and still sneak in a nap!

12:03pm. The exact time she was born ❤

My little stud ❤

Watch out! Crazy driver!

Waiting for the parade to start and had a great view of the castle

The parade had a bit of delay to naturally Kyler headed out to perform in front of everyone.

She will make friends with anyone these days 🙂

Best parade yet. Since she was wearing her birthday pin, a lot of the performers came over to her and said happy birthday. She especially loved with Smead and Pluto came back and shook her hand 🙂

Teacups

This one…. melts my heart!

My big 3 year old. Thankfully she was able to get on this because the ride broke down about 3 minutes later!

We had the BEST day with them. They were both so well behaved, she LOVED the princesses and got to ride all of her favorite rides, the weather was beautiful and things just fell into place. We had a long weekend celebrating but it was worth it…. anything for our Bug! Happy 3rd Birthday again sweet girl!!!!!!!!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons: Thanksgiving Edition

30 Nov

Wow, What a busy busy but really awesome week/weekend!

Kyler was testing out the cars at the store…. I think she found a winner. Doesn’t Hudson look so content 🙂

We had a great Thanksgiving at my Aunt Bun’s house.

People say Kyler is my mini me but she reminds me so much of my mom. They even take pictures the same….

Happy Thanksgiving from our little turkey!

Kyler had a blast playing with her cousins

She loves Emma!

We hit the road bright and early Friday and headed out to Eustis to Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest. You can cut down your own Florida Christmas tree or they have Northern trees to buy as well. We already have a tree so we just went to have some fun and get in the Christmas spirit! It was really chilly out so that helped 🙂

Ran into these guys…. happy they survived Thanksgiving!

Sweet Hudson

The girl rode her first horse and she loved it 🙂

They have a small petting zoo which made this little girl happy.

The Christmas Tree Forest, Florida Style

Happy Holidays!

Me and my girl ❤

My world.

The big guy and Chris 🙂

She loved the horse so much she had to go back

This. Face.

That night, we busted out the decorations and got to work!

She did great hanging the ornaments on the tree this year!

It was a good branch

Putting the tree on the top ❤

We woke up and headed out to Magic Kingdom on Saturday. First time on the Jungle Cruise.

Kyler was NOT into having her photo taken. Beautiful day, great shot in front of the castle and this is what I got.

It’s like they were in on it together

Watch out!

Kyler is finally tall enough to go on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster!

This video is hilarious. I promise, she loved it and asked to go on it again as soon as it finished.

Here we come!

Close up

Loves the horsies

Not having it

Kyler is starting a dance class at school this week. Cutest damn ballerina if I ever saw one!

Kyler helped me out with some Pinterest Christmas crafts today!

So there ya have it. Our super busy Thanksgiving weekend! I had a blast hanging out with my family. I am so thankful for each and every one of them ❤ I hope you had a great and safe Thanksgiving!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

26 Oct

Big Foot!

Playroom shenanigans

He has been doing this with his hands recently and I have no clue why. So funny!

Picked up these on sale this week for H!

Kyler headed to Grandma and Poppa’s Friday and stayed the night. They hit up Boo at the Zoo (Brevard Zoo)!

Saturday, we ran Hudson over to meet up with her and then Chris and I headed to Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival. We haven’t had a night out, just the two of us, in I honestly don’t know how long!

The park was PACKED but we didn’t have anywhere else to be and didn’t have to stick to a schedule so we didn’t mind waiting in line and figuring out what to order next!

First stop was Puerto Rico for some Sangria and some rum drink for Chris

Then we back tracked to Scotland because we realized they had scotch and I wanted the scallops

Baby Scotch for him!

Flight of Beers in Belgium. I liked the cider the best! We also picked up a waffle with chocolate and could have eaten about 3 of those!

Date night!

One of my favs was of course Poland. We picked up some piergoi’s and this yummy drink! It’s called a frozen szarlotka

Flight of Riesling in Germany! Chris picked up a brat here too.

We had to stop in Singapore and get a Singapore Sling and I wanted to try the mahi. Chris’ sister and her family live in Singapore so we felt like we should try some things out. Both were good!

Another Riesling and beer flight from the Farm Fresh Florida stand.

Last stop of the night… Desserts and Champagne!

Cheers!

Not pictured was stops in Canada (beer), France (yummy drink and food for both of us), America (beer and lobster alfredo-yummy), Italy (ravioli and cannoli), and Australia (great shrimp dish).

Today was a busy day! We rushed over to Merritt Island to pick up the kids then headed straight to Sanford to celebrate my friend Erika and her new baby on the way! This was no ordinary baby shower, this was more of a party! Kyler had fun in the bounce house!

Trying to take a picture of the 3 of them and this is how it turned out…..

This afternoon we attended a Fall festival at the church in Avalon Park

They had a little petting zoo so Kyler loved being able to touch the animals

Sweet little bunny!

If pigs could just stay this size, I am pretty sure I would have one

Hey Goat!

The girls got to hop on the train too

Sweet Hudson was there too!

Best picture I could get

Kyler got her face painted and opted for a butterfly

It was a whirlwind week and weekend and this will be another week just like it as well. I am looking forward to a much slower and relaxed November!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

12 Oct

So this happened this past week. I had a work function at the skating rink and it brought me straight back to my childhood.

Ahhh how I LOVED the skating rink 🙂

Just hanging out while I get ready for work. I mean his cuteness is just too much sometimes

And then there is this one…. she is my little model for sure. So. damn. pretty.

❤ ❤ ❤

This guy has been practicing his rockin’ skills

The moment anything gets within reach of him he is going for it!

His eyes are just unreal! (as are Kyler’s). I am definitely the odd man out.

We have been using the swingset a lot these days!

On Friday, we took Kyler and Hudson to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.

Kyler was the Zarina, the Pirate Fairy. I figured this was the best time for her to meet Tinkerbell

We also saw Belle. She loves being a part of the story.

She loves the carousal and she loves her Poppa!

We have been to Magic Kingdom countless times and just noticed Rapunzel’s tower in the back

Meeting Captain Jack Sparrow. She was excited to meet another pirate

Dancing before the parade started

She even made it to the fireworks!

Early morning tennis season with Bug

Rocking the 2 seater cart at Target for the first time!

She just loves her baby brother!

My idea of Sunday Funday now!

The kids!

I love my weekends with my sweet family. I am about to get even busier with work so I try and spend as much free time with them as I can!
