Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

27 Apr

Β Summer veggies, yummm πŸ™‚

Tummy time with the boy πŸ™‚

This girl loves her swing set

Just love her sweet face

Mr. Crabby Pants

Ammo’s favorite thing to do is hunting for lizards. Kyler decided to join in (there is one wayyyy up at the top)

A lot of times at school, the teachers will tie Kyler’s hair back. This is how I picked her up on Friday. HOT MESS

Life with 2 kids πŸ™‚ Kyler was having a melt down for no apparent reason then she decided to take her screaming over to Daddy and bumped Hudson which prompted him to start crying… can’t help but laugh sometimes! (Say hi to Mr.Fen who decided to photobomb the picture!)

My sweet snuggly boy

Hudson and Crosby!

I realize Hudson looks HUGE here (Crobsy is 5 months older). Although Hudson has made grown quite a bit this month, Crosby is still much bigger than Hudson πŸ™‚

Weekend trip to Lowes. This girl is too funny πŸ™‚

We finished picking up the supplies for the kitchen.

I am looking forward to enjoying our outdoor kitchen. I am also looking forward to getting our garage back in order!!

I love Florida Living ❀

So does Kyler!

She loves the bubbles in the spa

Just love her!

I enjoyed my first beer post Hudson. Aloha indeed.

The girl loves her shades… in this case, mommy’s shades.

Sand play!

Loving life with my two kiddos! This week I turn 28 and I’m looking forward to celebrating with my sweet family ❀

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

20 Apr

I’ve hit the treadmill up a few times this week. I’m not doing anything too crazy but just a good walk at an incline. Gotta start somewhere right?

This little cutie just hangs out while I’m walking

He is getting so big!

Hanging out with his bud Crosby

Love this part of my maternity leave!

Grandma and Poppa bought the kids a swing set this past week. This is 3 out of the 6 boxes!

Helping Dad put it together!

That smirk

If you couldn’t tell, Hudson has seemed to put on a bit of weight this week…Our chunker!!

Kyler’s school had a fun filled day on Friday. Easter egg hunt, Easter party and PJ day!!

Side note: Kyler is one clumsy kid. She gets all sorts of bumps, bruises and scraps. Her poor sweet face.

Counting her candies

We colored eggs with Kyler later that night

I was on double kid duty on Saturday while Chris and my dad built the swing set.

Have I told you how much I LOVE our playroom? So great to keep crazy Kyler busy for the most part of the day.

Kyler reading Hudson his new book he got for Easter. She is such a good big sis!

I did such a good job keeping Kyler from figuring out the swing set. I’m not sure what she thought it was but because she hadn’t spotted the swing or slide yet, she just though it was another project her dad was building. It was supposed to be a big surprise as she ran outside to look for Easter eggs.

Well needless to say, while Chris ran for a last minute item at the store this morning, I was washing my hands when I heard “My slide, my slide my slide, my park!!!” I came running around the corner to find her smashed up against the door hiding behind the blinds looking directly at it. UGH!Β

Oh well, right? Thanks again to my parents for getting them the swing set. Kyler is beyond excited πŸ™‚

We had an AWESOME Easter!! More on that later:)

So fresh and so clean!

Reading Hudson his first book πŸ™‚

and of course big sis wasn’t far away

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

13 Apr

I will tell you this, adding Hudson to the bunch has somehow made the weeks go by even faster now! Here is what we were up to this week.

Hudson and I decided to join Kyler at Grandma’s house for a day. She didn’t seem to care either way.

On Wednesday, we took newborn photos in the morning which meant Kyler stayed home with us. We watched Frozen (I think I have watched this movie 4 times this week) and snuggled on the couch.

Hi big guy!

She loves to walk in Dad’s shoes…. kinda hard when they are half the size of her body.

The next day, my mom headed out to Orlando and we hit up the plant nursery (trying to get ideas for the 3rd phase of the ongoing backyard overhaul). As you can see (wayyyyy down there), Kyler had a great time running through the trees and plants.

We also headed to the tile store because I needed help picking out ideas for the outdoor kitchen.

Hudson had his 2 week checkup too! Big boy weighs 10lbs now. The doctor said he should have gained a 1/3 of that so he is obviously doing juts fine. Our little chunker! I am trying to soak up every minute of this time. Hudson is quickly losing his sweet tiny newborn feel thanks to his dad’s super big genes (I see him every day and can even tell he is growing at rapid speed).

Tummy time!

Love this little onesie his Aunt JJ gave him! Go Pats πŸ™‚

This weekend, Grandma and Poppa came over to help with the outdoor kitchen. While the boys worked, we took Kyler to the park. She had fun racing Grandma down the slide.

Looking like a kitchen!

We are obviously loving teal around these parts.

We stopped by Jason’s Deli today for lunch went meant free ice cream. So yummy.

She passed out about 2 minutes after this picture.

And this little guy snoozed the afternoon away.

Life is good!!!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

6 Apr

Wow. Where to even begin? Last time I was updating you, it was 2 weeks ago and I was saying how that was most likely my last weekend to get things done. Well…. I was right. So much has happened in 2 weeks so I will try and catch you up!

My last preggo picture <3….5 days before Hudson arrived.

I enjoyed some Spring Training with my work. This is why I love Florida.

My beautiful Princess

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you know that Hudson made his big debut Saturday morning, March 29th.

Hudson Alexander!

You can read his Birth Story here.

He looks so much like Kyler did as a baby!!

Who’s who?

It will be fun to see how he grows and changes

She loves her baby brother

I took Kyler up to the park for a little Mommy and me time

His perfect (but long) feet!

Hudson’s best bud Crosby! Should be interesting to see if they can keep up with their big sisters πŸ™‚

Hello there!

She’s ridiculous

We enjoyed the pool for the first time this year!

My cutie

Kyler had a good time at Grandma’s. They bought her a play house and Grandma took her to pick out flowers for it.

Planting them in there

So pretty!

We celebrated our anniversary on the 3rd. Bug celebrated with us by eating our wedding cake. Okay well that isn’t OUR wedding cake but it’s the same thing. Red Velvet Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. Yum!

Love when Hudson is awake and alert

So handsome

Always up to no good

My sweet boy!

We took Kyler up to the tennis courts for a little lesson

This girl loves Frozen and loves the song Let It Go

We headed downtown Avalon this weekend. Rolling 3 strollers (2 double) deep!

The girls had a good time playing in the bounce house

Good times!

Afterwards, we went back to The Gilbertson’s for some pizza!

Such goof balls

Can’t get enough of him!!!

Playing with her little brother

More pool time!

While Kyler played in the pool, Hudson slept πŸ™‚

Afterwards,we met Kenley at the park

Pure joy ❀

Well folks, I told you it was a busy 2 weeks! We are so blessed to have such a sweet and healthy baby boy here. We are loving being a family of 4!!!

A Tiny Traveler: Hudson’s Nursery!

18 Mar

For Hudson’s Nursery, I went with a “Tiny Travelers” theme. I opted for the more rustic and worn look and I am absolutely in LOVE with how it turned out!

Now, how did we get here?

Way back when we moved into the house, his room looked like this:

For the past 2 years, his room aka storage room has looked like different stages of this:

Once we got started on the plank wall (more details to come on that in a couple days), the room quickly evolved into the photos above.

Chris made this matching shelf. Love!

Globe piggy bank, mod-podge map letters, and some safari animals

and this matching map artwork for over his dresser!

Left over planks + AWESOME map from lulukuku designs

Borrowing some friends from his Big Sister

Well folks, there it is πŸ™‚ After he arrives, I will put in the finishing touches like photos and his birth stats but you get the idea πŸ™‚

It all started from this mood board a year ago πŸ™‚

Here is a list of some of things you can find in his room!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

2 Mar

So the week kicked off with a birthday prank for me at the ole office. More details on this to come at later day but Monday night we were hard at work “redecorating” my bosses office.

The grand reveal on his birthday

Glorious, isn’t it?

Later in the week, some of the girls I work with threw me a surprise shower! I wasn’t expecting it at all and it was so sweet of them!

The Jenkinsons decided to eat out on Friday night. She is such a big girl now.

Saturday was a day filled with errands of course. Kyler started off with a cute headband (bad pic)…

But that quickly ended up like this….

We’ve been trying to teach her out to ride a bike but she really has no interest in pedaling so she likes to push.Β

Snack time!

The dogs just wait around for her to drop one… usually works to their advantage

Today, I used up my Valentine’s Day gift and had a prenatal massage. It was awesome. Thanks again babe!

We made a lot of progress in the whole “preparing for Hudson” area.

Clothes are washed and put away…

I even left some clothes out to put in the hospital bag. Yep, that will be my main focus next week.

We got a lot done in his room as well. Can’t wait to share with everyone!

A Sprinkle for Hudson

26 Feb

This past weekend, a few of my girlfriends thew Hudson and I a little baby sprinkle to celebrate him coming soon!

They did a “She’s about to POP theme” so all of the food was themed around that. Too cute!

Opening our gifts with friends and family ❀

Room decor for his room!

Look at the belly, whoa!

Towards the end, the girls came back over from my house (Kendra and I live 5 houses down for each other)

Big hugs for Mommy ❀

She’s excited to meet her brother

Thanks to everyone who came!!

My twin for the day, Shannon, and Miss Reese

So happy Hannah (who is 3 days older than Kyler) got to come and play with the girls! Thanks Sarah and Amanda for coming too!!!

Love my family!

Thanks to the Maris(s)a’s for everything!

And Jenn too!!!

And Kendra!!! Although we forgot to get a picture, fail!!!

My momma, Kyler and I

And of course, the big guy and I. Love him!

Thanks to everyone!!! Love you all! And again, THANK YOU to Kendra, Jenn, Marissa, and Marisa for planning everything! Love you all too πŸ™‚
