Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

23 Nov

The week started with a trip to the doctor for the little guy. He has had a cold all week and it won’t go away!

Princess Belle Ariel Zarina

Ms. Kyler reading us a book before bed (she said she was the teacher)

The kiddos school pictures came in!

Hudson and I hit up the toy store to pick up some items and decided to swing by and look at the cars. Ya know, just in case Grandma and Poppa decide to get Kyler one for her birthday.

Love his little rolls!

Staying home and taking care of this sick cutie isn’t so bad 🙂

Saturday Game Day with Brittany! We were so close to a win against Miami. Tough loss for sure.

Enjoying some Keke’s before meeting Santa!

First time getting the Florida Waffle. Not too bad!

We decided to go visit Santa today since the next few weekends are going to be pretty hectic. Plus, I thought we would be able to beat the crowds, however, we got there before the mall opened and still waited a hour to meet Santa. When we left, the line as up to 4 hours! The kids did GREAT! Kyler cried the first year, was shy last year, but she was awesome. Hudson didn’t seem to mind either.

The Mall of Millenia really does Santa pictures right. I am fairly certain their Santa is the REAL Santa. They are so patient with the kids and are miracle workers!

Kyler Bug every year with Santa

Afterwards, we hit up Publix and Hudson rode in the car cart for the first time. So big.

For dinner, I made Shrimp Burritos with Queso inspired by my favorite Mexican place in town, Agave Azul. I loved their Burrito Acapulco and am proud to say it tasted pretty similar!

I am looking to a short work week and a great holiday weekend! We have big plans for Thanksgiving and then decorating for Christmas! LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

26 May

What a long week (lots of photos this week too)! Chris and I were busy busy trying to get the outdoor kitchen finished for the holiday weekend.

I Chris started tiling on Monday. Messy!

I joined in on the action Tuesday. Took 4 nights to get the beast done (remember we have 2 kids to feed, bathe, and get ready for bed)!

Love lilies!!

I hadn’t gone through our wedding book for a while and happened to glance through it the other day. Although this makes me sad it also brought a smile to my face 🙂

This big boy had his 2 month check-up this week. More to come on that visit on his 2 month post. Let’ just say, he is growing quickly!

Kyler wanted to be apart of Hudson’s 8 week photos

Love this smiley face 🙂

Just love him!

For Easter, Kyler got a new pool towel. I really wanted to get Hudson one as well but the one I wanted was sold out. Well PBK got them back in and I love it! It’s the Octopus Mini towel and it’s perfect!

Kyler’s school pictures!

Hudson and I hit up BJ’s for some party supplies. Poor guy got buried!

We hung the lights at 10:30pm and stocked the fridge for the next day! Not like cutting it close 🙂

We threw our first pool party this Memorial Day Weekend! It was 95 degrees out so it was a great day to be in the pool. My best girlfriends and their families came over and it was perfect! It was fun to think about where we were 10 years ago (lounging around a college apartment pool) to where we are now, laying around with our husbands and kiddos. Much different but still a blast! I am so fortunate to have such a close group of friends. We don’t get to spend as much time together anymore now that we have our own lives to live so I am so happy they were able to make it out!

Fun with Poppa

I made Peach Sangria!!

I used the recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction but made some tweaks to it to make it a peach sangria instead. She calls for OJ but I opted for Peach Nectar. I think I bought the wrong Champagne (made it a bit too dry) so I ended up adding some sugar and peach schnapps to sweeten it up. It was yummy! Perfect for a HOT day!

Firing up the grill for the first time!!

Can’t forget about the drinks!

Our spread

Kyler and Greyson enjoying some snacks together

Besties ❤

We hit up our favorite breakfast place, Keke’s, Sunday morning. I love their apple cinnamon French Toast! Yum 🙂

Kyler enjoyed some pancakes and fruit

Daddy and Hudson enjoyed their pancake as well 😉

Helping Chris carry Hudson to the car ❤

My precious family ❤

We hit up Epcot later that day. Kyler rocked the ole Red, White and Blue!

This little guy rode around in style too 🙂

Checking out Nemo

This Memorial Day we had the Gilbertson’s over for some steaks and corn on the cob. We are loving our new grill!

My Cutie on Duty!!

My fishy

I can’t wait to put the finishing touches on the kitchen and share it with you!!! Here is a sneak peak 🙂

I hope everyone had a great and safe Memorial Day Weekend!!!! Thank you to all of you that have served and those of you that continue to serve. USA all the way baby!

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

12 Jan

The weather this week in Florida has been all over the place. Hot, freezing, rainy, cool, sunny, cloudy.

Kyler was ready to go on the cold day. High was in the 4os!

She has been struggling with naps this week. If we doses off for a second before hitting the bed, you can basically kiss naptime goodbye. This means passing out in the car on the way home 🙂

I hit up 4 Rivers this week (local BBQ place) and was pleased to see this sign at their Sweet Shop 🙂

Coffee Oreo….. um YUM!!!!! It was AMAZING.

Grandma gave Kyler my locket necklace from when I was a baby. I got this when I was 1 for my baptism. I am going to put it away for safe keeping but will definitely let her wear it for nice occasions 🙂

Kyler and Kenley are normally besties but they were fierce competitors on Saturday night. Colts vs Pats! Our Pats won which made The Jenkinsons happy. Ps…. trying to take pictures of 2 VERY active and crazy 2 year olds is basically impossible.

The family came to visit me at the Circus this past weekend. I had to work the morning show but it worked out because Kyler had a good time watching the show.

We stopped by our favorite breakfast place KeKe’s this morning. Kyler sat in a booster seat and waited patiently for her food. When did she get to be so big?

We enjoyed a beautiful 68 degree day at the park.

Pure Joy

Have a good week 🙂

Weekend Update with The Jenkinsons

2 Sep

The week started off celebrating Chris’s 34th birthday!!! Happy Birthday babe!!!

We kept it pretty laid back and ordered pizza (Chris’s fav) and went out for some frozen yogurt.

The week came and went and nothing really excited happened. We did have a very nice long weekend spent with lots of quality family time. We went out for breakfast at our favorite spot Keke’s.

We hit up the bookstore afterwards which Kyler thought was pretty cool. Especially when she found the little stage. She loves it up there!

Next stop was Lowes which Kyler ran straight to the tractors and climbed right up.

Chris ended up having to go to work for a hour or so but brought home lunch from Briantos, a local cheese steak place, and some hard to find Birch Beer! This reminds me of growing up and visiting my grandparent’s North Carolina home. They had some Birch trees out front and we used to snap the twigs and smell them. Love Birch Beer!

Kyler and I headed out to run some errands Sunday morning while Chris went in to work for a little bit. We stopped and got some Dunkin Donuts munchkins…. Kyler of course LOVED them.

The rest of the weekend was spent loungin’ by the pool.

Kyler’s hair is getting long!!! 2 things about this photo: 1) she is looking up somewhat so it’s not THAT long 2) it is longer than you would think because it’s only in the middle and in the back… we tend to brush that to the sides to minimize the mullet look 🙂

She helped Dad dust today 🙂 Such a good little helper.

She vacuumed of course too 🙂

Multi-tasking…. reading a book while climbing some stairs. Goofy girl.

It was a fun, uneventful, relaxing weekend with my 2 favorite people. Work for me is about to kick it into high gear with the NBA season upon us so I try to soak up as much time with them as I can.

Miss Kyler starts swim lessons tomorrow (eek!!!) and I am so anxious/scared to see how it goes!  Look for that update next week 🙂

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!! Have a great week!!!
